Electric motors

Machines for electric motors testing

An electric motor is a special electric machine, containing moving parts, which transforms incoming electrical energy into outgoing mechanical energy, made available on the motor axis. Like what happens for electric generators, the operation of electric motors is based on the electromagnetic forces interacting between a system of currents and a magnetic field.

Due to their complex nature and the number of components, electric motors require precise and strict testing, therefore it is fundamental to use experienced partners, who know how to perform tests on high quality finished motors. Risatti offers machines for testing complete two-phase, three-phase and brushless loaded motors. The Risatti line  is also made “to measure” to offer perfect customization of the tool. The common feature is the special care that goes into their construction, to make them suitable for very stressful uses and in an industrial setting with the possibility to be connected to centralized IT systems.

In addition to the tests on the electric motor, Risatti also offers complete tests for all parts and components. In fact, tests are available for stators, rotors, transformers and coils in general. The range of testing machines is characterized by the size of the DUT and the degree of automation required.

Our machines

We offer a wide range of machines for heads and tests for different sectors of use.
Safety, functional and specific tests, related to the various test objects. It is the most complete and versatile version.

The tests

The equipment, exclusively designed and manufactured by us, embraces the entire electromechanical and electrotechnical sector and the sectors related to preventive maintenance, repairs and rewinding.
Residual voltage test is used to detect the presence of residual voltage in a system, after the main source of power is disconnected.
The AC dielectric strength test is performed by setting an acceptability threshold of the maximum current.
Partial discharges (PD) are electrical discharges localized in the dielectric insulation, limited only to a part of the dielectric material.
The SURGE test is the most reliable method to test the insulation of winding systems and can also be used to test partial discharges.
The Tan Delta Test allows determining the relationship between the currents that naturally circulate and those caused by losses.
